Techberry has newly set in motion a new dual SIM mobile phone namely, Techberry GD300 which boasts TFT full Touch Screen Display with Track Ball. The glossy touch screen display itself can be described as an eye catching feature of this model.

The  Dual Camera with Flash, Primary : 2.0 MP, (1600 X 1200 Pixels), Secondary  1.3 Mp(640 X 480 Pixels) with an image resolution of 1600.0 X 1200.0 Pixels and a digital zoom Polyphonic, & MP3 ringtones adds to the various entertainment facilities enabled. It operates at frequencies of GSM 900 / 1800 MHz | GSM 900 / 1800 MHz.

The device includes GPRS, Bluetooth v2.0 with A2DP, AVRCP, FTP Enabled, & WiFi connectivity options. It supports external memory up to 4GB through T-Flash card.

Design

                        

The techberry GD 300 comes with a dimension of  4.8x2.3 inches. The enchanting side of this phone is that it’s highly comfortable to handle and user friendly. The phone weighs approximately around 120gm. The length is comparatively longer compared to its width which makes it look more sleek and attractive.

The edges of the phone are smooth with extremely nice finishing. The polish look gives the phone a different shiny look. The thickness is comparatively less and considerable.

The colour combination is majestically done with a solid silver coating. The bordering of the screen edges is black adding to the glaze of silver. The black-silver combo colouring is indeed a great combination for a glassy feel.

 Coming to the display features, the phone has a TFT full Touch Screen Display with a size of 3.2 inches. This featured display provides high end resolution to the images and videos viewed on the phone. The TFT screen also provides a sophisticated feel but adds a class looks to the phone.

The front face of the phone is kept simple with a smooth surfaced screen with a track ball at the centre lower end for easy navigation. A 2MP camera is in built at the top left corner of the front face. This enables the user to take self portrait pictures more efficiently. The short cut for home and search functions are displayed below the screen so that they can be enabled by just a touch. The brightness of the display enlightens the entire face of the display.

A loud speaker present on the top of the front face emits clarity sound output to great levels. The major sound output is from this speaker which provides undistorted sound clarity and loud sound.

The left side of the phone is enabled with a port for connecting datacable for storage purpose.

The right edge is plain with a button enabled to lock and unlock the mobile when pressed. A dark silver lining goes through the middle giving it a stylish look.

The back side is loaded with a 2MP camera at the centre covered with a glass coating. A reflecting mirror is also provided to adjust the lens of the camera while capturing photos. The flash enabled throws light in a dispersed way to capture high resolution photos.

Messaging, phonebook and battery

The fully touch screen phone makes it possible to type messages which are made easy by a keyboard visually displayed while typing the message. Automatic text prediction options are available so that messages can be typed faster and in simpler way with less effort. The phone has the capacity to store 1000 sms in inbox.

Emails functions are also easily accessible by the user. The track ball helps in scrolling down while reading long email text messages.

The phone book can allow the user to store around 1000 contacts on the phone memory. There are also facilities to store additional personal information of the contact being stored like the address, email, IM, alternate no. etc. once the details are stored, the user can view the entire details of the particular contact by just clicking on the contact.

The memory storage capacity of the phone is highly appreciable with an approximately 65.9MB internal memory capacity. This provides ample space to store audio, video and other data formats. The memory capacity of the phone is specially designed to support an external memory Micro SD up to 4 GB. The extended storage capacity allows the user to store files with larger size.

 

The phone battery comes with a Li-on, 1200 mAh which has standard quality as far as the battery issues are concerned. The battery is capable of providing a prolonged stand by time of 10-15 days. It also provides a talk time of 2-3 hours.

Camera, Music, Video and Connectivity

The phone has a twin inbuilt camera on the front as well as at the back. The front camera of 1.3 is capable of capturing self portraits with greater ease as the lens view is displayed on the screen and visible for the user. The back camera of 2MP has the capability of capturing more clarity and high resolution images due to the presence of flash for supported light.

The digital zoom feature is capable of maintaining the resolution of the captured images by the user even when zoomed in. The LED flash exhibits its capability to throw light while capturing photos and making them look lively even in dim light.

To keep the user on the toes, the phone is enabled with MP3 and polyphonic formats which throws out sound with high clarity. The loudspeakers balance the amount of sound output to a great extent without distorting the output sound clarity. The tone of the music is varied through equalizers and has a user friendly audio list to sort and play music according to the user’s choice.  

Video player enabled by the phone supports 3GP as well as MP4 file formats. The video resolution appearance on the 3.2 inch screen is simply splendid with bigger visual capacity. Radio enables the user to tune to different stations and the facility of recording the audio is also available. The shake feature allows the user to jump to the next track or previous track while playing songs. The shaking option operates on the direction in which the phone is tilted by the user.

GPRS/WAP, MMS, Email, Wi-Fi enables high end data transfer facility. The GPRS /WAP enable browsing the net for small purpose. The phone is enabled with the latest 3G technology. Third generation (3G) of mobile telephony standards facilitate growth, increase bandwidth, and support more diverse applications. 3G has the capability to deliver packet-switched data with better spectral efficiency, at far greater speeds.

The WLAN feature enables network connectivity by establishing a LAN connection.
